What stood out to me the most was the phrase "a dangerous move towards Far-Right nationalism". That's interesting on several levels to me, but it does go along with a political theory I've been batting around lately - that "communism" never really left us, it just changed it's name to "globalism" and started picking up steam. I may more fully develop that theory in another thread later, but for the time being I find it odd that people are seeing "nationalism" as "dangerous" - it hasn't been 30 years ago that was the patriotic norm... but now the world has slid so far Left into Globalism that it is now seen as "dangerous". I have to ask myself - dangerous to WHOM? Nationalism has always been a dangerous thing to communists (since communists were collectivists, and had designs on global domination, which is hard to accomplish with nationalistic fervor insisting on borders), but now it appears that, since the Globalists have donned that collectivist mantle, it's now dangerous to Globalists. And rightfully so... but how have they managed to convince the proletariat masses to view patriotism - i.e. what they are calling "nationalism" - as a "dangerous" thing? The answer, as is so often the case, is a "legacy media" campaign. We KNOW who controls the legacy media, and just as Orwell forecast in his writings, it has proven to be an effective propaganda organ. People only"know" what they are told, and as the older patriotic generations die off, all they are being told is what the legacy media - i.e. TPTB - wants them to hear and believe. Orwell would be proud of them... or, perhaps, simply aghast that they actually fell for it. . No unique flavors, scents, cuisines. Why is globalism so prevalent with the 'rich' and 'accomplished'? Because they want it...all. They (*) must erase the past, to make space for the future they desire. Just as in Rush's "2112", all distinctions of the past are banished into the new soup/s of homogenized humanity. Think you'll ever hear "Stairway to Heaven", again? ..."Free Bird"...? They have ears in everything...if they want them. Just waiting for AI to develop an all-hearing Ear, and all-seeing Eye. They will shut you down. (Perhaps, not 'you' - but the majority of the rest of us - shut down.) As you say - they can change the meaning of anything, with their 'legacy' mouthpieces. The only shot we have at maintaining our individual sovereignty and national sovereignty, at this time, may be to keep 'Nationalism' in focus. Nationalism & Patriotism do seem to walk side by side. The only 'pride' I have in my country's history, comes in the form of highlights... I do not find our 'form of government', or 'constitution'...or 'peoples'...to be sacred (or inspired by the/a better god)...aside from the fact that we are still fighting for our lives. When I die, do I go as the 'lowly' ant...unnoticed, easily forgotten... Or, was/is there something 'more' to being me? Is there something about me/You worth fighting for --- Something 'holy', as we (many) have been told? If not, 'sovereignty' will be the next badge of humanity to vanish. Ever been owned? Like in the military? The WEF = The central Planning Committee = The Manor Lords. Their job is to convince The Peons / Proletariat / Peasants to stay put in one place, keep their noses to the grindstone, and work hard to get what the Elites want FOR them, so the Elites don't have to get up off their asses and get it for themselves. All the while, they must find innovative ways to make the Peons / Proletariat / Peasants think that they are really working for their own betterment... but somehow, that slice of Heaven never works it's way down to the masses. Everything good flows upward, and benefits the Elites. That is the entire schema of all forms of Collectivism, be it Feudalism, Communism... or Globalism. Karl Marx's goal was not "equality" or "egalitarianism", it was figuring out the triggers to get the masses to do HIS bidding, and disguising that as equality and egalitarianism. The same is true of Klaus Schwab and his cohorts, just as it was true of the Manor Lords of old. The ONLY counter against that plan is to maintain one's own individual and national sovereignty - Nationalism and personal sovereignty is the only cure for being "kept down by The Man". That is why it is so much under attack under all forms of Collectivism. It's not "for the children", it is, and always has been,"for the Elites". Our job is not to buy into that bullshit. It's an up hill battle, especially when "they" have all the propaganda organs all sewed up and on their side. . RE: Britain Today - F2d5thCav - 09-03-2025 Re: globalists and the rich Once had a Moroccan tell me a pearl of wisdom. He said the rich of the world belong to no nation except their own: that of the rich. He was absolutely correct, wealthy guys like Trump who actually give a toss about a particular country are indeed rare. ![]() RE: Britain Today - 727Sky - 09-04-2025 Every Tyrant/tyrannical government strives to pass laws and apply pressure to those who disagree with the Tyrant's objectives. Update. Deputy PM and Housing secretary Angela Rayner is currently under investigation by the Parliamentary Standards watchdog over the claim she avoided paying £40,000 in tax on her new property , Starmer said today said he is "expecting the result of an investigation into stamp duty paid by Angela Rayner "quickly" so I guess we can guess the result. Cabinet colleagues have been sent out to TV studios to do a bit of fire fighting but the Tories have called for the inland revenue to investigate. Yeah , 40,000 of them Ange. ![]() RE: Britain Today - gortex - 09-05-2025 Update on the update. Deputy PM Angela Rayner finally resigned today prompting smiles and cheers from many in this Country following the report into her Tax Evasion being handed to the PM this morning , the Standards watchdog found Rayner had broken the Ministerial code of conduct by cheating the exchequer out of £40,000 in second property tax, another piece of good news is Starmer has reshuffled his cabinet and the continually failing "smash the gangs" Cooper has been shuffled out of the Home Office to become foreign secretary which in Parliamentary terms is a demotion. Bad news from the reshuffle is the man regarded by many in the Commons and the Country as Stupid is to become the new Deputy PM which basically means he's been side-lined .... even worse news is our new Home Secretary is Shabana Mahmood who as justice minister is the idiot behind letting criminals out after just 40% of their sentence and the proposed banning of prison sentences of less than 12 months. This government will continue to limp on and make promises but with their party conference due later this month and the Welsh elections next May which they're forecast to lose , Labour has held Wales since the Welsh parliament was started in 1998 , the end for this government is in sight. Farage opens the Reform UK party conference and takes a pop at Labour after the perfectly timed resignation of Angela Rayner. Wales will be key. RE: Britain Today - gortex - 09-06-2025 The resignation of Rayner seems to have led to Starmer showing how few cards he actually has , he seems to be keeping his inner circle close and there don't seem to be many of them which would explain why the unelected Dame Angela Eagle who completely failed (by intention) in her job as "border security and asylum minister" has rather than being sacked has been moved to the environment department , not sue doing what but creating BS as a Biofuel is likely. The rumblings of the reshuffle continue with sound of deckchairs being frantically moved on the sinking ship almost audible. Lucy Connolly has spoken at the Reform Conference. Quote:In what was quite a candid interview, she shared her experience with the justice system. Seems like a perfect candidate for Reform's prisons advisor. Yesterday in the House at Prime Minister's question time Sir Kier Thick as a Brick Starmer pledged his full support to Mandelson as just as a week before he said he was "proud to be sat nest to" Angela Rayner , both now are gone within a week of each other exposing Starmer's chronically bad judgement. Now questions are being asked by opposition parties about the security vetting process involved in Mandy's appointment and requests are being made for emails and associated paperwork regarding the appointment. Quote:The security services expressed concern about the appointment of Lord Mandelson as ambassador to Washington, but No 10 went ahead anyway, Sky News understands.Personal disclosure : I hate Mandy have done since his time in the Blair government so this is like Christmas come early. ![]() This government is stumbling so badly soon it will fall.
