Ozzy Osbourne has died - gortex - 07-22-2025

I don't think it will come as a shock to anyone following his appearance at "The end" show a few weeks ago but today sad news has broken that Ozzy Osbourne has succumb to the ailments that have plagued him over the last few years , a constant through my teenage years and throughout adulthood Ozzy played a big part in my musical life and will be sadly missed.

RIP, Ozzy! You were a music Icon of my generation.

I went to many an Ozzie concert over the years, not because I wanted to necessarily, but because I had to with all my friends. Even so, I never regretted a single one! I don't think I ever went to a single party where Ozzy didn't get played at some point, usually often. I never minded.

The guy rocked us through (6) major American wars, (12) Presidential administrations, financial crises, pandemics, and you name it. Say what you will, but Ozzie Osbourne was always there...still rockin'! Not too many people can say that, not too many at all!

So, I raise my glass to Ozzie. May you join up with Randy Rhodes and rock Heaven for all eternity as you did here on Earth. God's Speed, my friend...and Rest in Peace!

Its been a strange old day today , it's gone from this morning processing the fact Ozzy has gone following last nights sad news while listening to a presenter on one the rock stations I tune into in floods of tears as he delivered his personal eulogy to Ozz to enjoying a day filled with Ozzy and Sabbath songs on the radio , Ozzy Osbourne was not only a musician he was a National treasure the likes of which we will never see again.

God bless you Ozz , thanks for the laughs and music.

People can say what they will about Ozzy in terms of his capabilities in the musical prowess department, but he was one helluva showman!

The Birmingham Symphony Orchestra played their tribute to Ozzy yesterday with an excerpt from ‘Black Sabbath – The Ballet’ at Birmingham New Street railway station.

Another lovely tribute from Birmingham's musical family for our lost son.

Today Birmingham laid its favourite son to rest , Ozzy had a funeral cortege travel the streets of Birmingham so the fans could say a final goodbye , the procession was led by a brass band playing Sabbath and Ozzy songs , Class.
