July 8, 1889: The First WSJ. The name "The Wall Street Journal" was the idea of Charles Bergstresser, the "forgotten" third man who teamed with Dow and Jones to create the news company that started publishing this newspaper in 1889. The first issue was four pages, for two cents. The specialist financial journal has been printed continuously since its inception on 6 days per week.

Experts are baffled. Reports say the bafflement of experts will continue until demoralization improves. If only we had an FBI that can look into this highly suspicious activity.
According to court docs when Epstein was setting up his foundation down in the Virgin Islands he stated that he has DNA samples of the entire population of Iceland. I wonder what happened to that DNA databank.

The E/V Nautilus has located the bow of USS New Orleans (CA-32) in the Solomon Islands’ Iron Bottom Sound. The bow was blown off by a Japanese 'Long Lance' torpedo during the Battle of Tassafaronga in November 1942. More than 180 sailors — most of them in the forward two turrets – were killed instantly and went down with the front section of the ship. The crew of the New Orleans made quick repairs with coconut logs and then sailed the heavy cruiser in reverse for 1,800 miles to reach Sydney, Australia.

On July 7, 2025, a team of explorers led by Ocean Exploration Trust and Robert Ballard on the research vessel Nautilus discovered the wreck of the bow section lost during the Battle of Tassafaronga using a remotely-operated vehicle.

Bayeux Tapestry to return to UK on loan after 900 years
We left for Frisco in your Rambler
The radiator running dry
I've never been much of a gambler
and had a preference to fly
You said "forget about the airline,
let's take the car and save the fare."
We blew a gasket on the Grapevine
and eighty dollars on repairs
All aboard

Quote:Ed "Big Daddy" Roth (March 4, 1932 – April 4, 2001) was a trailblazer in the world of custom car design and a key figure in Southern California's Kustom Kulture movement. Born in Beverly Hills, California, Roth developed a passion for automobiles from a young age. His journey into the automotive world began when he acquired his first car, a 1933 Ford coupe, at the age of 14. This early interest in cars led him to study engineering and later serve in the United States Air Force.
Roth's career as an artist, cartoonist, and illustrator paved the way for his iconic status in the hot rod and custom car scene of the late 1950s and 1960s. He gained widespread recognition for his grotesque caricatures, notably the Rat Fink character, which became synonymous with the rebellious spirit of the era.
