Is it just me, or was Super Man taking a whole lot of ass-whoopin' in that review? Is Super Man really supposed to take that much ass-whoopin'? Has he perhaps been demoted from "Super Man" to "Barely Adequate Man"?
And did I hear that narrator right - Super Man gets hauled off to a whole 'nother universe where he is jailed, and it's left up to the girl to save him? The same girl that he used to spend all his time saving? Is Barely Adequate Man just getting old and decrepit in his doddering years?
Is anyone going to be able to convince me that Super Man requiring salvation at the hands of a "strong independent woman" somehow not a political statement of modernity?
Inquiring minds want to know.
