Firefox on a Windows 11 box. (pretty vanilla. Everything is up to date. No blockers running other than OEM FF. No Add-ons running. Cookies and caches all dumped and cleared out at the end of every browser session. Full virus scans every 24 hrs, and active scanning on. Clean login every session here.)
I think you can replicate the problem (anyone can). Just make two rapid fire replies to a test OP, and you'll see it too, and see what I mean. From what I can see, it happens to everyone who makes two quick replies in a row (two replies intended to be separate replies). It does not appear to be a user related issue.
I observed this same behavior on MPP several months back. I brought it up to them and they were able to correct it right away leading me to believe it was just a simple config change. I have put out an inquiry over there asking what the fix was so I could share it here. If/when I get a response I will post it here.

ETA - I also have Opera, Chrome, and Edge (yuck!) available, so I can test across those three if you like, but I wouldn't anticipate anything different on those platforms.
