I lost the death cult analogy just after the Aztec history recap. I find the death cult comparison more accurate in relation to current issues such as abortion and assisted suicide. Not that we are killing off old folks in a geriatric genocide, but we have a lack of care and respect for the elderly that is heading that way. Plus, "parts is parts" when we need to replace organs or get a blood transfusion. Everyone is red inside; we can even use parts from other species.
I think we basically have a death cult here, and maybe these political antics are part of that or an indication of it at least, but we haven't been displaying racks of skulls from human sacrifice yet, at least not in an open and obvious way. We take war trophies and sacrifice our own on the battlefield, but our monuments aren't made from human body parts, not yet at least.

A trail goes two ways and looks different in each direction - There is no such thing as a timid woodland creature - Whatever does not kill you leaves you a survivor - Jesus is NOT a bad word - MSB
