My first wife's great grand dad buried what was then about 30k worth of gold coins up a holler here. Then he died, and never told where it was buried. A lot of folks have tried to find it over the years, but so far, no one has...

Err, never mind, I don't have a land mine detector.

The rumor is that he buried it somewhere around his outhouse, but I think every square foot of that area has been dug up, and nothing. I think he probably parceled it out into smaller batches and buried them somewhere on the mountain, probably under the rocks that stick up out of the ground around there.
