Yep, good luck with that challenge.

Given all the oil storage, refineries and tankers set ablaze across the Middle East and Russia, it is odd that we don't hear a peep from the climate activists.

Iran’s IRGC said it had launched the 42nd wave of its “True Promise 4” military operation, firing missiles and attack drones toward targets including Tel Aviv.

Mixing old video game animation with real bombing footage, one has to wonder what exactly is going on with the war on Iran. We had more real footage by CNN during Desert Storm.

Iran vows to fight on in first message issued in name of Mojtaba Khamenei

Excerpt of Khamenei's speech:

Quote:“The third part of my address is a sincere expression of gratitude to our brave fighters. I sincerely thank our courageous fighters at a time when our beloved homeland is being unjustly attacked by the leading countries of the Front of Arrogance.

“The Iranian fighters, with their crushing blows, have blocked the enemy’s path and dispelled their illusion of them being able to dominate or possibly disintegrate our beloved homeland.

“My dear brothers in arms! What the Iranian people want is the continuation of an effective defence that makes the enemy regret.

“Furthermore, the leverage of closing the Strait of Hormuz must definitely continue to be utilised.

“The crime deliberately committed by the enemy against the Shajara Tayyibah School in Minab and other similar cases will receive particular attention in this process of taking revenge.

Congratulations, Y'all managed to get under each other's skin and make each other say dumb shit.

Now knock off the bickering.

Attack the ideas or information, not the poster.

Don't shoot the messenger.

Shooting the messenger is bad, very bad.

Back in the bad old days, that's what kings used to do when they started losing their shit.

Don't lose your shit.

It makes you combat-ineffective.

============================================================

I see people managing to stumble around and find the "big picture" - whichever "big picture" they want to see - but unable to drill down to the finer details.

At least two out of the 3 attacks are confirmed to be Moslems. Yay. The problem is, they are the WRONG kind of Moslems. Both of those cases, the ODU shooter and the Mamdani bombers, have been linked to ISIS.

ISIS.

Therefore, nothing to do with the attacks on Iran. Definitely not Iranian sleeper cells. But Ninurta, how could one possibly know that? Because both ISIS and AQ affiliates have come out in public and on the record as being in support of the US strikes on Iran. As it turns out, they view the Iranian regime as being as illegitimate as the US does, just for different reasons. Their reasons are religious - they view Shi'ites as being "takfir", astray from the path of "true Islam", and therefore subject to summary execution.

There's probably a political element in there, too, which they just haven't mentioned... after all the Iranian Islamic "Republic" is in direct competition with the caliphate they want to resurrect. They can't both rule the entire world, so they find themselves at odds with one another.

The third attack, the synagogue driver, is still under investigation for affiliations. Since nothing has been release as to those affiliations, I have to fill in the blanks for myself until such time as they are. We know he was Lebanese. Lebanon is known for it's internal squabbling, but not for exporting terror. From that I surmise - but emphasize that I don't KNOW, and it's just a working theory - that he was probably Hezbollah, and therefore an Iranian proxy, if not an actual "sleeper". He attacked a synagogue, a precise target containing Jews. So, at this point, my best guess is Hezbollah / Iranian proxy. That's ONE out of THREE.

The other two attacks were both ISIS affiliates. They were likely just terrorists of opportunity, and using the backdrop of the Iran attacks as a sort of smoke screen. Neither of them targeted Jews, and neither of them targeted any segments of US government. So, not Iranian proxies. Just rando loons.

Why is this important?

It shows that America has more enemies than just Iran. it shows that attacks may come from ANY quarter, without warning. it shows that even random terrorists will use any smoke screens available to confuse people, and that confusion can and will lead to more random attacks.

Don't let them confuse you.

Be discriminating.

Not all Moslems are born alike, and not all Moslems want to kill you. The ones who do are more than happy to take advantage of your confusion...

... and that is dangerous. To you. Personally.

Don't allow it.

There are no "personal" realities. There are no "common" realities.

There is only reality.

All else- everything - is "narrative" or "spin" or both. It's propaganda, regardless of who is promoting it.

We've been seeing quite a lot of that lately, from both sides.

They are out of their freaking minds , a danger to themselves , and also everyone else . They can be jews in other countries, America etc...Israelis can practice judaism many places.

They created monster , it`s just escalation after escalation with no end .

Ideally they would live in the current Israel yes and live happy life. But they turned to zionism and it`s not then all compatible with all other people in the ME and creates chronic problems that start also accumulate .

It`s not just Judaism ....they twisted it and use it`s name to justify all doings.

We are now near WW3 because the not compatible ideology . They need to start  looking mirror and  acting mature.

Everyone there need to start  looking mirror and  acting mature, hamas , Iran ...

So... because Jews can be Jewish anywhere, they don't deserve a place to call home, that they can't be kicked out of? Is that the logic we're working with here, or am I missing something?

Using that logic, Americans can be Americans anywhere... so should we just dissolve the nation here, maybe give it to the Mexicans because the US has treated the cartels so poorly?

There is a sizeable knot of Germans in Brazil and Argentina. They don't need Germany to be Germans, so can we just give Germany to the Russians or Poland then?

The French don't really need France - they can be French anywhere. We could give France to the Russians, too.

Somalis don't need Somalia to be Somalian - we could just move all of them to Minneapolis, where they can continue being Somalian on someone else's dime, and give Somalia to Egypt.

Finns don't need Finland to be Finnish. There's already a lot of them in Minnesota and Wisconsin. So can we just move the rest of them there, and give Finland to the Russians too? That's the logic I'm hearing here.

I would add in that Moslems can be Moslem anywhere, so we could just move them all to the UK and make the UK a Moslem nation, and dissolve the Middle East, but that's a little to uncomfortably close to what is actually happening.

Regarding the Israeli "escalations", why do we suppose they are "escalating"? In the example given, did they "escalate" just because it was a Thursday, and that's what you do on Thursdays - bomb Beirut? Even al-Jazeera, an Arab mouthpiece, acknowledged the reason for the "escalation" in that very article - it was because Hezbollah rocket attacked Israel first, on 2 March. Al-Jazeera - again, an Arab mouthpiece, so not exactly unbiased - CHOSE to call it an "escalation". Others might refer to it as a retaliation, or possibly a preventive measure. "Escalation" was the choice of wording for al-Jazeera, because it's pre-loaded with negative ramifications on Israel. Other folks might see it in a slightly more balanced manner, and call it something else.

Regarding the nukes, we've already been over that, so I won't rehash it all again here. You're afraid of them, I'm not, and neither of those viewpoints is likely to change. I also realize the vanishingly slim potential for them to be used in this conflict... assuming we do not allow Iran to get their hands on them. If that happens, all bets are off, but as for the currently (already) nuclearly armed nations, they have exercised remarkable restraint in their use for over 80 years now, and I don't see that changing any time soon. We have, in the past 80 years of nuclear armaments, been much, MUCH closer to a nuclear exchange than this, yet it has not happened. So color me skeptical on the threat of nuclear annihilation over Iran. It's just not a necessary measure to revoke the Iranian Cleric's birth certificates, so why would anyone risk it in the real world?

.

Nope, the " They can be jews in other countries, America etc...Israelis can practice judaism many places."  means just that being Jew and practicing judaism is not bound to any location , like state of Israel.  They have been in exile at least 2000 years, maybe even longer if go to torah/ old testament timeline .  I did not say that they dont deserve homeland .

But that`s where things did go south.....they converted to fanatical political idology , are absolutely ready to do everything , including killing babys , anyone who they think, may be a threat to them...in reality or imaginary.

Btw Torah even says that only when God has given the sign , they shall return to land from exile , according to Judaism scholars/rabbis .

There is no clause in " live as Jew "  that says you dont have other option than live in Israel . And as a matter of fact , it`s not safe place to live, so in practical terms...moving to there from less dangerous country is taking a risk, specially now when Iran is firing them with ballistic cluster rockets . It`s unnecessary risk is my opinion. Everyone is free to choose , some do want to live there.

God dont have a " clause "  with country borders as far as i know.

In the coming days, America will issue a 48- or 72-hour ultimatum to the regime's forces: either surrender or head to Mashhad and stay safe there, or else they will be killed. This will place immense psychological pressure on these forces because they know that most of the commanders and government officials have already gone to Mashhad, as it hasn't been bombed or has been bombed very little. Of course, this was cleverly planned from the start by America and Israel.

The second point of psychological pressure after this ultimatum will be that the Basij and IRGC know their forces are disintegrating, and if they stand their ground, they'll be torn apart by the people—especially with air support from America and Israel.

Most families of Basij and IRGC members will head to Mashhad, along with many of them themselves.

Keeping Mashhad as an escape route is a key element in this war strategy, serving as a safety valve to provide an exit path for the repressive forces. Otherwise, these forces would be forced to fight to the end, even just for their own survival. But if they know they can go to Mashhad—which is a holy city for them—they'll psychologically convince themselves much faster and more easily to carry out this retreat.

After the ultimatum expires, Trump will tell the people of the cities—except Mashhad—to come out and, with air support from the U.S. and Israeli militaries, seize government organizations. Any remaining regime forces in the cities will be quickly killed or flee, and in less than 24 hours, the regime will collapse—except in the Mashhad region. The regime's forces, with their trademark audacity, will declare that they've conducted a strategic retreat to be alongside their Eighth Imam and regroup.

America and Israel will announce the end of military operations and keep a small number of their forces in a few centers to ensure security and form a transitional government. The task of retaking Mashhad after a short period will be handed over to Iran's new national army, which will attack Mashhad, clear out the remaining former regime forces, and likely send a group of them fleeing to Afghanistan.

And this will be the end of 47 years of the shameful, terrorist Islamic regime—a lesson for future generations that no Islamic force should ever be allowed entry into the realm of governance and politics, forevermore.

Looks like Kharg Island is on the war front menu now... if the island is taken can it be held and the days of Iran supplying oil would just about come to an end IMO.

Yeah, I noticed a massive uptick in anti-US and anti-Israeli propaganda on X last night, all coming from "Americans". I kinda figured something was up with that, but I figured it was probably coming from Pakistani proxies for Iran.

When I post a quote from a source here, I just use the BBcode to open the quote, then copy and paste the text I want to quote, and then close the quote with the BBcode. I don't know any other way to do it, so I'm afraid I won't be much help with any other method.

Can someone please tell me what they think makes this action "illegal"? Under whose law? What is the statute that makes it "illegal"?

It does not take much to push a troubled or drug fueled radical for whatever reason over the edge.

Your government lies to you and is putting out dehumanizing rhetoric propaganda and you are eating it up without thinking twice.

I don't believe anything that comes out of your government nor other governments who have a narrative to push for their own selfish gains.

Look what's happening in Lebanon, they are targeting civilians. They are still killing Palestinians in Gaza/West Bank since the ceasefire, an additional near 700 more people. Israel needs to level with bombs all the surrounding lands for occupation.

As for that war being illegal: (LLM)

"Under international law, the attacks violate the UN Charter’s prohibition on the use of force (Article 2(4)), which only permits military action in self-defense after an actual armed attack or with UN Security Council authorization.  Neither condition applies here:

  • Iran did not attack the U.S. or Israel before the strikes.
  • No imminent threat was proven; in fact, direct negotiations were ongoing with Iran and Oman as a mediator hours before the attack.
  • The U.S. and Israel have not sought or received UN Security Council authorization.
  • The doctrine of anticipatory self-defense does not justify the strikes, as the threat was not "instant, overwhelming, and leaving no choice of means" (Caroline doctrine).

Under U.S. domestic law, the war is unconstitutional:
  • The Constitution grants Congress the sole power to declare war (Article I, Section 8).
  • The War Powers Resolution of 1973 requires presidential authorization from Congress for military action beyond 60 days unless there is a formal declaration of war or an emergency.
  • No such authorization was obtained. The Trump administration’s claims of an "imminent threat" were contradicted by Pentagon briefings and diplomatic developments.

Additionally, attacks on civilian infrastructure—including a school in Minab that killed 165 children, a sports hall in Lamerd, and a hospital in Tehran—appear to constitute war crimes under the Geneva Conventions, which prohibit targeting civilian objects and require proportionality in warfare.

Legal experts, human rights organizations, and international bodies, including the UN General Assembly, have condemned the attacks as a war of aggression, a crime under international law.  The U.S. and Israel are accused of acting on regime change goals, not legitimate self-defense, further undermining the legality of the conflict.

Read that again...war crimes under international law.

Under U.S. domestic law, the war is unconstitutional:
  • The Constitution grants Congress the sole power to declare war (Article I, Section 8).
  • The War Powers Resolution of 1973 requires presidential authorization from Congress for military action beyond 60 days unless there is a formal declaration of war or an emergency.
Nope.  Get those talking points at left wing BlueSky?

Iran said it was going to wipe America, it's allies, and Israel off the map.  That is their promise.  They were obviously actively trying to make that happen and gearing up militarily and working on nukes.  You do not wait until they actually attack to protect yourself.  You don't wait for them to have their nuke bombs before trying to stop them.  You don't wait until your own people are dead before you do something.   That's idiotic.   And we don't protect ourselves only if the corrupt United Nations says we can.   They can all screw themselves.

As for the absurd notion this is illegal by American law.  Again, nope.  War has not been declared so Congress doesnt' matter.   And it hasn't been 60 days so Congress doesn't need to authorize anything.  Nothing unconstitutional about it.   Past presidents have done the same thing, notably Obama and Clinton.
