American b-52 bombers bomb iran , but U.S still does not call this war . Reminds me Putins playbook where it was a special military operation when they attacked ukraine .

The seeming appearance of the Strait of Hormuz "closing" was not any particular decision by either side of the belligerents. The pattern is the result of Adam Smith's theory of the  "invisible hand" of the market that made this happen.

Hundreds of Ship owners, and their few dozen Insurance providers, and an even smaller list of key experts on special panels, mostly in London or New York, etc, all collectively made hundreds of decisions that resulted in ships taking a pause while their War Risk Insurance policies were cancelled, re-evaluated, re-priced and re-signed... at higher rates.  Thousands of small risk-reward decisions were made across the world.  All manifesting into what we currently see from the cool animated AIS data from MarineTraffic.

An Inquiry into the Nature and Causes of the Wealth of Nations, usually referred to by its shortened title The Wealth of Nations, is a book by Scottish economist and philosopher Adam Smith. Published on 9 March 1776, it offers one of the first accounts of what builds nations' wealth. It has become a fundamental work in classical economics, and been described as "the first formulation of a comprehensive system of political economy". Reflecting upon economics at the beginning of the Industrial Revolution, Smith introduced key concepts such as the division of labour, productivity, free markets and the role prices play in resource allocation.

On February 28, the US sent B-2 Spirits. You send B-2s when the enemy’s air defenses are intact and you need to penetrate undetected. Four B-2s dropped 160,000 pounds of bunker-busting ordnance on hardened underground facilities in the opening wave.

On March 2, the US sent B-1 Lancers. The B-1 is a supersonic bomber. Faster than the B-2 but not stealth. You send B-1s when air defenses have been degraded enough that speed, not invisibility, is sufficient to survive.

On March 3, the US sent B-52s. The B-52 is a 70-year-old subsonic aircraft. It is not stealth. It is not fast. It has a radar cross-section the size of a barn. It flies at 650 miles per hour at 50,000 feet and it is visible to every radar system on earth.

You send B-52s when there is nothing much left to shoot them down.

Following the success of B-52 sorties over Iran, the USS Constitution is preparing to offload Marines following shore bombardment.

I am worryed .

Just short time ago Trump expressed thoughts that he is worryed about Iranian opposition people. Now ,if true ( and i am not sure )  B-52 bombers are dropping bombs in tehran ,highly populated city  of over 9 million people.

How much Iranians will be killed with the bombs ? ( non-regime people )

Does it soon look like Gaza , areas flattened with bombs?

They could be using smart weapons, the b-52 may be an old platform but it's capable of modern warfare.

I hope you are right , carpet bombing Tehran with B-52's is probably not the right strategy for winning over hearts and minds.

This could be great, or this could be bad... the Coalition Infantry Arm  had better be giving them superior intelligence and weapons

CNN's own senior military analyst Admiral James Stavridis admitted the US military's performance against Iran over the last two months has been absolutely extraordinary!

He pointed out that leaders like Xi and Putin now have no choice but to respect America's demonstrated capability and pay close attention to what we've achieved.

This decisive action weakening the Iranian regime directly undercuts Russia and China's strategic positions by removing a key proxy and distraction in the region.

America First strength is sending a clear message worldwide - our military dominance delivers real results that even critics on the left can't deny!

With the way this war is going, there is no diplomatic end is sight any time soon. It is not just oil leaving the region that is blocked, but also food going on. Big water issues too if/when the water desalination plants get hit. Things are lining up to be a big humanitarian crisis on all sides.

How long the interceptor missiles last is one turning point in the war. Once they are depleted iron dome is done and a faster destruction of Israel will begin. I will not be surprised if Israel launches its Samson option as they finally come to terms that they bit off more than they can chew. Russia will respond and put an end to what is left of Israel.

Then what will the world do, leave it at that or go all in for a world ending royal rumble?

If Trump want to put a quick end to it, bring the Epstein crowd to trial is a good start. It will diminish some of the satanic, warmongering blood lust going on.

Warshot Wednesday!

An American submarine has torpedoed and sank Iranian frigate IRIS Dena (a warship with anti-submarine mission capabilities) in international waters about 25 miles off Sri Lanka. SECDEF Hegseth confirmed the strike today. Sri Lankan forces launched a rescue after an early morning distress call and rescued 32 survivors, over 100 crew missing. IRIS Dena was commissioned in 2021.

A single Mark 48 Advanced Capability (ADCAP) torpedo was used. The $5+ million dollar torpedo is designed to detonate under the keel of a surface ship, breaking the keel and destroying its structural integrity. In the event of a miss, it can circle back for another attempt.

The IRIS Dena just last month was at the port city of Visakhapatnam, India.

The submarine will likely not be named for a long time, but look for a US fast attack submarine coming in to her homeport flying the Jolly Roger flag. (maybe, not always)

This is the first US torpedo sinking since August 14, 1945 when Tench-class submarine USS Torsk (SS-423) sank Japanese escort ship (Kaibōkan) CD-47 in the Sea of Japan, the last Japanese warship sunk in WWII. Torsk is now at the Baltimore Maritime Museum.

First U.S. sinking since WWII, definitely not the first sinking by a torp since then.

INS Khukri torpedoed in 1971 (PNS Hangor; Pakistan)
ARA General Belgrano in 1982 (HMS Conqueror)
ROKS Cheonan in 2010 (North Korean mini-submarine sunk; who did it remains in dispute)

IRGC Navy's IRIS Shahid Sayyad Shirazi, Soleimani-class Catamaran Corvette warship was targeted on March 4, 2026. Bandar Abbas, Hormozgan Province, Iran. At least one of the Iranian corvette's Ghadir antiship missiles cooks off, flying out of its amidships launcher.

Naming it "Soleimani class" seems to be implying it's built to be taken out by U.S. forces.

The Netherlands is considering to send HNLMS Evertsen (F805) with France’s Carrier Strike Group to the Eastern Mediterranean as part of a defensive deployment against Iranian attacks. Notably, Evertsen will be able to provide ballistic missile tracking and engagement data.

Honestly, warmongering or not I wish they'd bring the Epstein crowd to trial and punish them. That being said it's hard for me to see the Iran thing as warmongering when it seems like the Iranians themselves are very happy to be rid of the regime and all dancing in the streets and celebrating around the world.

There is deep deep view/ideology in Iran that the West is to destroy Islam and that their mission is fight against it,  suffering & martyrs are all okey for them .

Google AI response to :  usa cant handle logistics if sends ground force to iran

Quote:Based on current analysis and military assessments, a large-scale ground invasion of Iran by the United States would face immense logistical hurdles, primarily driven by Iran’s complex geography, deep defensive posture, and potential for a protracted conflict. While the U.S. maintains superior military capabilities in air and sea power, a ground campaign is widely regarded as a "logistical nightmare"

Key Logistical and Tactical Challenges:
  • Rugged Geography: Iran is largely defined by the Zagros and Alborz mountain ranges, which act as natural barriers, and vast, arid, or salt desert regions. These terrains severely limit land invasion routes and favor defenders, making it difficult for armored divisions to maneuver effectively.
  • Strategic Depth: Iran’s military infrastructure is decentralized and often hidden in mountain tunnels (e.g., in the Zagros mountains) or buried deep underground. This makes locating and destroying them a major challenge for incoming ground forces.
  • Logistical Strain: A sustained ground campaign would likely become a long, costly, and drawn-out war, straining U.S. logistics chains over vast distances.
  • Asymmetric Threats: Iran’s military strategy emphasizes asymmetric warfare, including the use of missile forces, drones, and the Basij militia, which are designed to combat larger, more advanced forces.
Current Military Situation (2026):
  • Focus on Air Power: Current U.S.-Israel actions have been focused on a "most lethal and precise air power campaign in history," rather than a ground invasion.
  • Limited Troop Presence: As of early 2026, there are no significant "boots on the ground" in Iran, and observers note the absence of necessary logistics indicators—such as the movement of massive sealift capabilities—for a large-scale occupation.
  • Logistics Capacity: While the U.S. has a "much higher" logistics capacity than Iran (including 15,673 airports for mobility), the specific logistical challenges of occupying a country as large and rugged as Iran are immense.
Conclusion on "Handling" Logistics:
While the U.S. has the logistical capacity to start such a campaign, experts argue that a ground invasion would not be a "quick, clean victory," but rather a "costly, protracted regional affair" that would severely challenge US logistics.

By the way, small update on the three F-15s that were shot down: Former F-16 pilot C.W. Lemoine says the size of the explosion indicates the missile was an AIM-9 short range IR, which has to be fired within visual range, meaning the pilot saw the planes he was shooting. He claims that all the evidence points towards an Iranian sympathiser taking down american jets as opposed to an accident.

 ???????? ????

Reports say Mojtaba Khamenei — son of Iran’s Supreme Leader and the reported successor — has been killed in U.S. strikes in Tehran.

Look, it doesn’t matter who comes into power.

Anyone Islamic who touches the Iranian throne will be executed by a U.S—Israeli airstrike.

No one is looking for a Jihadi leader to take over, reformist, hardliner doesn’t matter.

The only way they can “salvage” the Islamic Republic is if they remove the Islamic part.

End of story.

Are you kidding? You are the one who advised me that I should post here at RN. lol
