Picture Posting tips for newcomers now with moar sauce - Freija - 02-18-2026

First of all, welcome to Rogue Nation!

Uploading pictures here is easy but might be a bit confusing? Here's how to make your uploaded pics show full size and not just a thumbnail:

  1. At the bottom of the post editor, drag a photo from your computer and drop it in the rectangular box. It (they) will automatically upload.
  2. Ignore the option to add your picture to your post.
  3. Preview your post. You will see a thumbnail at the bottom.
  4. Click the thumbnail - it should open in a new tab
  5. Copy the URL from the address bar in your browser of your photo
  6. Back in the post editor, click the picture icon in the toolbar and paste in the URL

That's it! Your image is now enbiggened!

If you don't want to click the picture icon, you can past the URL straight into your post if you manually add the bbcode IMG tags.

You can also display images from other sources.

Another tip about posting that might be confusing?
> If you click REPLY to a post, it will quote that post
> If you click NEW REPLY it will create an empty post

* If you're quoting and it looks weird, click the View Source button at the right of the toolbar.
* If you click on your name up in the header and go to the UserCP, there's an option to always view source

Rate and Add Thank You
> Adding a rating counts toward a user's reputation. Adding a comment is not necessary
> Adding a Thank You is a like or acknowledgment

Use these however you like, do both if you desire but I personally give more weight to rate and use for the things that are important or really great.

Good job! That's really pretty.

No, the thumbnail cannot be deleted. It's all that people can see who aren't logged in to even know there's a picture in your post.

You can also use links to off-site photos if you don't want to see a thumbnail. Their visibility does not depend on being logged in to view.

Umm, something went wrong there Mr. Rabbit and I'd like to help.

Your post contains a link to a web search page. To post an image from the web, copy the URL of the image then in the editor click the Insert Image icon and paste in the URL and then click the Insert button.

In most browsers, if you right click an external image, "copy image link" is usually an option.

You post also shows the thumbnail of an attached image but it isn't working correctly, however, the actual image in your post is from an uploaded image. How the heck did you do this? LOL

Is it possible to embed an X post or video?

For example this one about taking advantage of the homeless

I think the link you provided is the only connection, although I'm certainly no expert!
