If you have these regrets by 70, you’ve lived a very miserable life

-not saying 'I love you' enough
-too much time working, exp extra hours
-too much time in jobs we hate
-not taking care of health when younger
-not traveling and getting out
-not saving $ when young
-grudges, especially family
-worrying about things we can't control
-losing track of friends
-worrying too much about what others think
-not having an enjoyable hobby or activity

this list makes a lot of sense to me.
enjoy your friends and family while you have them!
go out and have some fun!  (but don't spend all your $)
don't worry about stuff you can't control
etc

At 71, some of these I couldn't care less about but as far as others, "no ragrets".

Sure, in retrospect there's a few things in life I could have handled better or done differently but regret or guilt are are toxic emotions to hang on to so I haven't. Going through life and ending up with a coulda, woulda, shoulda mentality seems kind of sad to me and a way to not take responsibility for your actions, inactions or emotions.

I harbor some of those regrets way down deep, but I also realize that what's done is done, and there ain't no going back, so I tend not to dwell on what can't be fixed.

People in particular. There are some folks I wrote out of my life years ago, and most of them are now dead, so there is no repairing those relationships even if I wanted to, which in some cases I would, and in some cases no repairs were ever possible. Again, something I tend not to dwell on. Looking backwards while moving forwards is a dangerous proposition. You might run into something rough that you didn't see because you were looking in the wrong direction.

On a side note, I've never regretted putting a tomato in a fruit salad. Because it IS a fruit, y'know? That, and a little salt, is what makes having to eat a pile of fruit bearable!

Every step I took in Life, some good, some bad, got me to where I am today.

I am happy where I am, who I'm with and with my Life, so I have no regrets.

I toss the regret ball back and forth sometimes, but I always end up with the hard truth that if I acted or changed anything in the past, I might not have my wonderful children in my life and they are my treasures that were reaped along the way that make everything, the good, the bad and the ugly, all worth it.
