Mars Curiosity’s Navcam Caught a UFO Again! - imitator - 03-04-2026 A pair of photos snapped by NASA’s Mars Curiosity Rover appear to show a classic flying saucer hovering in the sky over the Red Planet and remarkably, the rover may have captured the same object twice, nearly a decade apart. The most recent image was taken on Sol 4816 by Curiosity’s Right Navigation Camera, showing a symmetrical UFO shaped object suspended above the Martian horizon in open sky. The earlier photo shows a near-identical (UFO) craft in the Martian sky, same rover, years apart and miles away from the more recent sighting. The truth is out there, but not with these images from Mars Rover. "A widely discussed image from Sol 2692 (March 3, 2020) shows a small, smooth, cylindrical object appearing to cast a shadow on the Martian surface.  This photo, taken by Curiosity’s Mastcam, has been shared widely on Reddit and social media as a potential UAP. However, experts and NASA data analysts explain that the object is most likely a small, oddly shaped rock eroded by wind over time.  The apparent shadow is consistent with a stationary rock, not an airborne object. A key point of clarification: Curiosity uses dual cameras (left and right) for stereoscopic imaging.  When comparing the left and right camera images from the same time, the object only appears in one frame—indicating it is not a real object in the sky but rather an artifact, such as a sensor glitch or a rock in the foreground." They're known to change images, or do "touchups" of images and I trust them about as far as I can throw my truck. That probably isn't a UFO...but I'm not taking their word for it.
