We start off this week's blogs with a bang (quite literally) because of an important article that P.T. spotted and shared (with our immense gratitude). In fact, I'm so grateful for this story not only because of its contents, but also because it gives me a reason not to have to blog about geopolitics, finances, the cultural meltdown of the West, Islamunism and New York mayors, &c &c. Except, alas, in this case there are some intriguing geopolitical implications, but we will return to those.

As you can tell from reading the headline to this blog, P.T. spotted an article about the presence of uranium in Egyptian burial mastabas. Now, I've written about this strange presence in Egyptiuan monuments before. But this current article goes much farther:

The Pharoah's Curse: New Evidence of Unusual Deaths Associated With Ancient Egyptian Tombs

Now, if this were simply another article reporting on the presence of uranium at various ancient Egyptian archaeological sites, or the latest attempt to hypothesize some scientific basis and explanation for "the curse of the Pharaohs" I would, of course, be interested and intrigued, but I would hardly be as exercised over the article as I am about this one. This article, however, argues that not only was there an intentional presence of uranium at these sites, but that in addition to being intentional, it was also... well, I'll let you read the article from pages 45 to 47 yourself:

Quote:The Book of the Dead also made a distinction between the prior kings of the Old Kingdom versus ordinary mankind who were characterised (in translation) as ‘common folk’ (Faulkner, 1972, Sp. 38B, 42, 65, 69, 161, 182); noting that the transformations of Osiris [into light] were not understood by mankind, because it was an exceedingly great mystery which no man knew. It was an abominable thing not to be disclosed to those who dwell in the swamps. (Budge, 1895, pp. 187, 217, 219; Budge, 1901, Chapt. CLXIII, p. 535). The magic of transformation was not just a secret but a terrible, dreadful thing not to be revealed. The old texts were overlaid with symbolic religious rituals and language in a childlike attempt to imitate the earlier gods, but there remains clear textual and physical evidence of the original literal content. Osiris came forth from the House of the Rising Sun (akhet, horizon), from  the Island of Fire, where his body was filled with magic. The [two] apertures of the sky windows were opened, the sky reeled, the earth quaked (Faulkner, 1969, Utt. 477, 479, 482, 485, 503, 508-510, 536, 584, 604; Faulkner, 1973, Sp. 30, 283, 317,422, 573, 609, 650, 707, 753, 849).


The source of the power of transformation was the invisible ‘efflux’ from the magic offerings. Osiris declared (in the Coffin Texts) - I have power by means of offerings; I go forth by means of the efflux; by means of the magic; take the efflux so you shall not be inert; go forth from the burning fire; I have eaten the magic of the spirits of the magic food; the souls are in me, the shades are in me; I am transformed into mighty spirits; I shine in the sunshine, from the efflux. I am the primeval one; my soul possesses power in its primeval form. (Faulkner, 1973, Sp. 95, 101-2, 246-7, 317, 469, 573, 690, 705, 824, 829, 936, 895). The magic food was detailed as tchefau, light food in the form of cakes and ale (or bread and milk). Cakes of saffron were brought to him [Osiris]; he was given saffron cakes in the coffer; the cakes of saffron are the eye of Horus. (Budge, 1895, Chapt. XVII, pp 52-53, Figure 1). Saffron (yellow) cake was further detailed in a series of Food Spells in the Coffin Texts where the efflux came from magic food of [unknown hieroglyph] in portions of 2-3- 5; the movement of the sunshine was provided in meals of 2-3-5 portions (reversed in the hieroglyphs) (Faulkner, 1969, Utt. 205, 409; Faulkner, 1973, Sp. 191, 209, 211, 212, 217, 218, 587, 659, 667; Figure 2). Yellowcake-235 is recognisable now as the crude ore of uranium-235 (U235), the primary fuel of modern nuclear technology. Crude yellowcake is insufficient to cause a nuclear reaction and must be enriched to a higher concentration, which has the form of a chilled milky liquid. That process was also detailed in the Coffin Texts in recognizable terminology. The food [yellowcake] was made pure, and the milk was restored to its proper level. Osiris declared - I am the son of the Milk Goddess. My mother gave censing of incense (efflux). I suckled my mother (for milk) of the rotting putrefaction (decay). He swallowed the spirits; he received pure offerings whose names and shapes were unknown. (Faulkner, 1973, Sp. 529, 467-8, 335, 306, 1017). Elsewhere the Pyramid Texts presented similar detail - Osiris received the milky fluid from the breasts of Isis; he received the efflux from the cold drink; the efflux of decay; the cold drink is yours, efflux is yours, the powers are in it. (Faulkner, 1969, Utt. 413, 470, 661, 423, 536, 553, 676, 679). (Emphases added)

Now, this is jaw-dropping for several reasons, not the least of which is (1) ancient Egypt (or rather, whatever civilization engendered it) not only had an awareness of radioactive material, but had some, perhaps primitive, perhaps more advanced means, of enriching it.  The article spends much of its time investigating radiation-caused cancers as being an explanation for the "curse of the pharoahs" and the mysterious deaths of people in the archaeological teams investigating ancient Egyptian sites, including burial sites. Additionally, the article mentions a fact about the Great Pyramid that virtually every researcher in the alternative research community who has ever investigated the structure has known for a long time: there appears to have been, at some time in the distant past, an explosion that occurred inside the structure, which left the surface of the granite in the so-called King's Chamber vitrified, and the stones themselves offset from their  careful alignments.

The takeaway is breathtaking: there was an ancient (probably very ancient) technology of isotope enrichment.

We may surmise that this had to be a very ancient technology because as the article also points out, some sort of knowledge was lost in the transition from "divine" or "semi-divine" kings, and the human kings who succeeded them in Egypt, a distinction that clearly emerges in the Egyptian King's list of Manetho. Those divine and demi-god(half human, half "god) kings ruled, according to Manetho's list, tens and hundreds of thousands of years ago, long before conventional academic narratives state that dynastic Egypt came into existence.

There is also something else implied in the article, even more breathtaking, and this brings us to "jaw-dropping reason" number (2): the radioactive material appears to have been involved in some sort of technological version of life extension or "immortality", and in conjunction with the Great Pyramid itself. Exactly what, or how, this occurred neither the article, nor we, know.

We may, however, speculate, and with this speculation we have arrived at our daily nosedive off of the speculation tree's uttermost twig, into the canyon of speculation below, for nuclear reactions involve the creation and manipulation of plasma, and if you've been paying attention lately, there is a highly speculative hypothesis being entertained in some circles that some plasmas might actually be very different, and very strange, forms of life, and moreover, that some of them might actually be intelligent, possessed of kinds of "light bodies".  There is even a version of the hypothesis that maintains that all organic life has some connection to a subtle plasma life which actually enlivens or animates it.  If that is the connection, then it would go a long way to explain why pyramids - at least in Egypt's case - have long been almost subliminally associated with death and immortality. It might also have a great deal to do with why some ancient texts describe the Great Pyramid as a tremendously powerful weapon, and why wars were fought over its possession.


And finally, it might explain why there is so much interest by the great powers to dominate that region. The USSA did, after all, invade Iraq to forestall its development of weapons of mass destruction. As I've argued many times, perhaps that was not as much the lie that people have made it out to be. The lie was only about what kind of weapons of mass destruction they were seeking to prevent Saddam Hussein from developing, for they were not the modern weapons at all, but as I have argued, very ancient ones...

This one comes up often, a sudden gust of wind accompanying all sorts paranormal activity.  

Sometimes I get a breeze during mediation that uhm, slivers around me and gives chills. Slivers, perhaps not the right word but it's definitely tactile, you can feel it go around gently. Maybe a different thread for 'spiritual chills'

A story for today...a couple of months ago meditating in the garden. There was a sudden gust of wind, 'it' blew in and made a little whirlwind coming up from the ground and then whoooosh 90 degrees into a plant. I couldn't see 'it' clearly, it was moving too quick, a flash of light picking up dirt as it blows around. It was a hard knock on the plant, just one branch. About 3-4 feet of the ground.

This is a horrible story... One more reason to never be subservient to idiots.

I notice weird stuff among the visual clutter of life.

One that jumped out the other day was how prevalent a certain type of smile is in photographs of celebrities, models, politicians, etc.

I learned a new word.  This kind of smile, in which only the upper row of teeth is visible, is called a "commissure smile".

This leads me to wonder how this kind of smile became practically the only one used in advertisements and publicity shots.  Check it out for yourself.  Very few of those kinds of photos show the row of lower teeth. Some kind of taboo there, seems weird and unnatural to me, but I'm something of a social washout anyway.

It's been a long time coming but NASA's much delayed return to the Moon is Green to go  , 4 Astronauts , 3 American one Canadian , will make a round trip to the big cheese ball early next month , weather permitting , to test out the Orion spacecraft's flight systems ready for a future landing.

Artemis II topped with the Orion spacecraft begins its 8 - 12 hour roll out to the pad in 30 minutes in preparation for Astronauts Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover and Christina Koch and Jeremy Hansen of the Canadian Space Agency to make their 10 day round trip which will make them the first crew to visit the moon in 50 years.

I came across this video talking about the 10 banned songs from the 60s that we as a band played almost all of them except for "Eve of Destruction;" man how times have changed! 

The 60s were a time in America where crew or buzz cuts were the fashion for guys for if you had long hair you were a Greaser which was a derogatory label. This was also a time when there were 'blue laws' in many states which prevented a business from opening on a Sunday for that was a biblically commanded day of rest. The hair thing changed with the Beatles arrival along with many in the Vietnam protest movement flaunted their long  hippy locks of hair. 

I got to see and live both sides of those societal changes as I remember guys cheering when The May 4th 1970 shooting at Penn State happened and grunts even putting "US Army 4, protesters Zero" on their helmets.

If they would have ordered a Vietnam army unit to clean the cesspool of protesters out of a location all I can say is there were those who would have gladly volunteered.. It would be a different world today for sure.. 

Looking back now I am kinda surprised Hanoi Jane did not meet with a nasty accident.

When Nixon looked like he was going to get impeached a First Cavalry battalion was loaded on a train and was ready to move to Washington, D.C.  They were going to ring the White House with troops and armor just in case anyone wanted to use force to remove Nixon. The first Cav never left Ft. Hood because the Airforce said no they would not support the move.

Yah see the Airforce was pissed at McNamara and Nixon for the stupid frag order missions they were ordered to fly over N.Vietnam whereby the Army thought Nixon was the greatest thing since he allowed the Army to go into Cambodia and clean out the North Vietnamese supplies and troops there. I seem to remember Nixon won the election by a landslide as he won the biggest majority of the popular vote which did not happen again until Regan.  There will be people who will call B.S. on all this and go ahead, as it don't matter anymore; it is just some thoughts of mine today stimulated by some songs of yesteryear. 

On stage with the Fuzz-tone cranked up playing Satisfaction; what a buzz ...... Louie Louie, Gloria,  etc etc the songs of the 60s were a time and a culture all their own IMO.

In 1960, the median household income in the United States was approximately $5,600 per year. That’s the midpoint where half of households earned more and half earned less. According to the most recent data from the U.S. Census Bureau, the median household income in 2024 was about $83,730 per year. In 1960 dollars, the median income today is $7,940, or about 40% higher.

Wait! What?

How is it that median household incomes have risen by about 40%, while adjusted prices (household expenses) have remained the same or decreased, and yet no one seems to have any money now?

If incomes have gone up, while key prices have been stable or decreased, where is all the “extra” money going (purchasing power)?

The short answer: it’s been absorbed by the “cost of living infrastructure” — housing, healthcare, and education — and, to a lesser extent, financialization.


Estimates from historical government studies (CBO & IRS data) put U.S. households’ total tax burden in 1960 at approximately ≈ 24% – 26% of pre-tax household income, including local, state and federal taxes. Current estimates (Tax Policy Center / CBO / BEA data) show total U.S. household tax burdens around ≈ 27% – 30% of median household pre-tax income.

In 1960, the median house price was roughly 2.2× median household income. Today, it’s 5×–6× median income nationally, and much higher in major metros (8×–12× in NYC or SF). Property taxes, mortgage interest, and maintenance also scale up with home value, compounding the load. Housing eats roughly 30%–35% of disposable income today, compared with 20% or less in 1960.

In 1960, healthcare spending was 5% of GDP, and an ordinary household could pay a doctor out-of-pocket. By 2025, healthcare exceeds 18% of GDP, with average premiums, co-pays, and drug prices ballooning. Even employer-provided insurance effectively comes out of wages — economists view it as “hidden income transfer”. Healthcare now consumes roughly 15%–20% of household spending, versus 4%–5% in 1960.

In 1960, public university tuition averaged $100–$300 per year (≈ $1,000–$3,000 in today’s dollars). Now, average tuition + fees run $10,000–$15,000 per year for public universities and $40,000+ for privates. Student debt exceeds $1.6 trillion, effectively a drag on lifetime disposable income for younger households. Education costs have risen roughly 6×–8× in real terms since 1960.

Since the 1980s, a growing share of the economy’s gains has gone to:

• Debt service (mortgages, credit cards, student loans, car loans);
  
• Rents, insurance, and fees (banks, telecom, software subscriptions); and
  
• Corporate profits (especially in finance, tech, and healthcare).
  

Productivity gains that once flowed into wages now flow into asset values and shareholder returns. Median workers benefit less directly; they pay higher rents and fees instead.

In 1960, after taxes, housing, and essentials, households had a relatively large discretionary share for savings, leisure, and goods. Today, even with higher real incomes, fixed costs dominate. The money left over after fixed expenses has dropped from roughly 30% in 1960, to less than 10% now.

• Policy: Post-1971 fiat era + deregulated finance → asset inflation and debt dependency.
  
• Globalization: Suppressed goods prices (cheap imports), but hollowed out wage growth.
  
• Cartelization: Healthcare, education, and housing are quasi-protected sectors with little real competition.
  
• Financial incentives: Credit expansion inflated prices of inelastic goods (land, tuition, medical care).
  

In case your eyes glazed over about half way into this mess, buying everything with credit cards and long-term borrowing for housing and mobility, plus corporate greed and globalization have eaten up our lives. It was all aided and abetted by compliant governments that favored corporations over taxpayers in fiscal policies and regulations, and it was paid for with higher taxes at every level.

The introduction of E-Z Credit and charge-a-plates in the 1920s started a vicious cycle of living on tomorrow’s income today. Consequently, the harder we work, the behinder we get, and it’s almost impossible to get out of it. If the vast majority of folks could extract themselves from this tar baby, it would completely reverse the power dynamics of our current economic morass. Governments and corporations, however, have no incentive to help us do that.

But alas! We just get more stuck.
