If a state is looking for a pretext to escalate to, and push thru, a nuclear threshold, here's a shortcut: strike a nuclear power plant, immediately issue a denial, and invite retaliation. I expect the justification for how it would respond has already been written.

The plan all along has been to reverse-engineer justification for the war by forcing Iran's reluctant Islamic hand to actually build an atomic bomb. Come hell or high water we will force you to worship the bomb. It is so written, thy will be done.

As the escalation intensifies, the UK announced yesterday (Starmer opted not to piss off daddy) that they would allow US forces to use Diego Garcia for Hormuz operations. This will serve as a message that strategic bombers won't necessarily be safe on DG.

And now we learn even Diego Garcia isn't safely out of range. Just imagine what Iran could have been capable of if it hadn't been sanctioned up the butthole for 47 years and completely obliterated, wiped off the map, totally decapitated and 100% defeated!! Obviously they had a lot help from the usual suspects.
