The romance only lasted 4 days for the very young blue-eyed brunette Ziegfeld Follies beauty.

Published in the "Broadway Brevities", February 1921 says she is 16??
According to her Obituaries and grave site she was born on Feb 3, 1908 which simple math tells us her age to be 13 or probably only 12 in this photo.

According to a short photo bio being sold on Ebay:
Guess we should not be surprised of such exploitation by old money families and Yalie pedos. At least back in the Roaring Twenties the young pretty girl had enough sense to back out of marriage but apparently not from the Ziegfeld Follies.
In another newspaper article I glossed over, it was the bride's mother who disapproved of the marriage.
Like so many other young women of the "Golden Age" she had a sad ending:

Events in the book's original edition ranged from 1999 to 2026. As 1999 approached in real life, the dates were advanced by 31 years in the 1997 edition.
The third part, covering six months from April 2026/2057 to October 2026/2057, is three chapters about the remaining Martian settlers and the occurrence and aftermath of global nuclear war on Earth that eliminates human civilization there, and the few humans who manage to flee Earth and settle on Mars.

"There Will Come Soft Rains" is a 1984 Soviet animated 10 min short film from Uzbekfilm, directed by Nazim Tulyakhodzhaev. It’s based on Ray Bradbury’s 1950 story from The Martian Chronicles. The film is set in a world after a nuclear disaster, where an automated house keeps running its daily chores—like cooking and cleaning—even though its human owners are gone, wiped out by the catastrophe. It’s a creepy yet powerful look at how technology keeps going without us, and a warning about the dangers of progress and war. Over time, it’s earned a loyal fanbase.

This is the future we are looking forward to with the internet of everything. Imagine how cool it will be when your cybertruck can think you are driving poorly, pull you over and call the cops on you all by itself. The fully integrated digital prison panopticon.
Telling my hungry family I'm declaring force majeure because Iran has hacked our oven's self-cleaning lock function.
Damn, food prices are gonna skyrocket.

According to a short photo bio being sold on Ebay:
Quote:Geneva Mitchell (1908 – 1949) was an American actress. After beginning her entertainment career as a chorus girl at the age of twelve, she became more well known for her roles in several Hollywood films, especially those of The Three Stooges.
In March 1922, when she was 14, she married Robert Savage, the son of a millionaire, in Milford, Connecticut. Four days later, she returned his ring and said, "I'm too young to be a wife." On October 15, 1935, she married financier Harry J. Bryant in Yuma, Arizona.
Quote:In 1940, in what is known to be one of her last appearances she posed for a Lois Leeds column on fitness and basically disappeared for the next six years for reasons that remain a mystery. In 1946 she made a quick return just to appear in a short film and then announced her retirement due to "health problems." She soon remarried to Daniel Tuttle. Just three years later in March 12, 1949 she died at her home in Inglewood at the young age of 41. Her official cause of death was acute pancreatitis and cirrhosis of the liver caused by severe alcoholism. She was cremated and it is believed her ashes are with her mother's at Chapel of the Pines in Los Angeles. Geneva never had any children.
