Still, I am glad to see new ones popping up. People may be getting scattered to the four winds a bit, but at least the conversations are still finding a place to live. That is better than watching years of posts vanish into the void every time a site decides to spontaneously combust.
Wishing all the new places good luck, and hopefully most of them stick around longer than a carton of milk left out in the sun.
I started a forum like that close to 6 years ago now. It was mostly because of the attacks on alternative news and conservative social media at the time, but also a place to write my important threads before I posted them anywhere else. I felt my posts and threads should be sourced to my forum for copyright purposes as well as preserved from persecution.
